Topic Agriculture, Climate Change, Drought.
Country Kenya.

Drought patterns that are becoming more frequent and persistent as a result of climate change are reducing animal herds and exacerbating poverty in Kenya’s arid and semi-arid regions. The death of animals on a regular basis is also a sign of stressed ecosystems that are strained and have few opportunities to regenerate.

David Owino was in the Tana Delta, where locals are planting grass to restore degraded land while saving their livestock from starvation.
