Sharon .W. Kiburi is an independent data journalist. She is passionate about development stories with the incorporation of data. She hopes through the art of storytelling, she can influence and impact policies to serve the mass majority. Sharon holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and majored in electronic media. She has in her line of work-life acquired professional training in data at Knight Center for journalism Austin Texas & the Aga Khan School of graduate, Digital Identity by Witwatersrand University in South Africa, reporting gender-balanced features from African Women in Media (AWIM), television production by Media Development in Africa (MEDEVA) and security of journalism by article 19 Easter. Sharon works closely with the association of freelance journalist which own an online publication www.talkafrica.co.ke and is a regular contributor.
