In the heart of the ongoing COP28 global climate talks in Dubai, Africa is standing tall, articulating its six critical priorities. Finance emerges as the foremost concern, with the continent pushing for more “adequate and predictable finance.” The six key areas revolve around climate finance, global stocktake, strengthening adaptation actions, operationalizing the Loss and Damage Fund, promoting a just energy transition, and securing special needs and circumstances status for Africa.
